BEHIND THE CAMERA

Below is a list of some of the projects that I've been lucky enough to work on to date.

NATURAL WORLD - BBC TWO

SHOOTING RESEARCHER

Shooting researcher across multiple programmes over 2018/2019

SPRINGWATCH 2018 - BBC TWO

REMOTE CAMERA TEAM

LOST TREASURES OF EGYPT - NAT GEO/ CH4

CAMERA ASSISTANT

Camera Assistant on a specialist factual series shot in a variety of locations across Egypt.

WILD GREAT BRITAIN - CHANNEL 5

CAMERA OP

A new eight-part series showcasing the lives of elusive and rare wildlife that survive across the 6,000 different islands that make up Britain. I filmed Puffins and Pufflings which feature in the 6th episode -'Water Worlds'.

WINTER'S WEIRDEST EVENTS - BBC TWO

CAMERA OP/ RESEARCHER

A one-off winter special of Nature's Weirdest Events that was in production for just nine weeks. I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to shoot multiple sync interviews (Sony FS7) with scientists and contributors, as well as work on an overseas shoot in Norway as the key researcher and camera assistant.

THE ONE SHOW - BBC ONE
'Billy Goat Rut'

2ND CAMERA/ RESEARCHER

In this segment, I was part of a two man team that were set the task of filming one of the few remaining populations of wild goat in the UK. In the Cheviot hills in Northumberland, just 150 remain. Now, the population is being carefully monitored by a project at Newcastle University to ensure the future of these primitive creatures. My job was to create time lapses of the mountain ranges and surrounding area, film second camera and record sound - which be assured isn't so easy when you're having to hide yourself and all of your kit out of shot in the back of a Landrover Defender as it climbs up a steep mountain!

SPRINGWATCH 2017 - BBC TWO

STORY DEVELOPER - REMOTE LIVE CAMERAS

Working on Springwatch was a bit of a dream come true. Surely the most iconic of British wildlife programmes, it was an incredible experience to monitor and operate the remote cameras for the live, BBC 2 show. Having watched the programme since I was a young girl, I was constantly having to pinch myself, as my days were filled with around-the-clock action from our live nest cameras. From barn owls to bullfinches, red kites to wrens, it was a dream come true to get such an intimate look at the lives of Britain's wildlife in the Spring and bring them to screen.

BBC EARTH - OUR BLUE PLANET

CAMERA OP

Some puffin and puffing footage that I shot was used for a short segment for BBC Earth's Our Blue Planet. Counting Puffins and their young is extremely important due to the threats that the population faces as sea temperatures rise and food resources become scarce.

THE ONE SHOW - BBC ONE
'Life in the Fast Lane'

2ND CAMERA

A short natural history insert for The One Show investigating  the science behind the phenomenal strength of a spider web. Often found on car wing mirrors, these intricate works of art regularly withstand wind speeds of up to 70mph and remain intact. But how? George McGavin puts it to the test by visiting a state of the art wind tunnel. Using a a super high-speed Phantom Miro I filmed second camera to capture the action in slow motion.
